Bowen Therapy was developed by the late Tom Bowen and is a form of soft tissue manipulation revolutionising the health care industry worldwide. This gentle, non-invasive technique aims to re-align and balance the body, relieving pain, discomfort and body dysfunction.

Bowen Therapy involves cross fibre manipulation over muscles, ligaments and tendons that releases tension and stress from the body. By releasing the muscular tension, the body is then able to heal and re-align itself.

Bowen Therapy’s impressive results has seen wide acceptance of the practice. At into balance, our practitioners have trained in six schools of Bowen Therapy, including Bowtech, N.S.T, Smart Bowen, Fascial Kinetics, Milo, TBT and completed workshops with Kevin Ryan. Combining the best techniques from this extensive range of modalities means that practitioners at into balance are providing unique and high quality treatments to all of our clients.

Emmett Technique developed by Ross Emmett, is a unique modality that aims to release muscular tension using light pressure on specific points of the body. This amazing technique works hand in hand with other modalities, maximising effectiveness and results.

This modality enables our therapists to achieve results for our clients in as little as one or two treatments.

Emmett Therapy is also considered as “the icing on the cake” by our therapists as its beautiful work helps Into Balance clients feel grounded and completely balanced at the end of their treatment.

Acupuncture was developed from the traditional Chinese medicine techniques as far back as the second century BC. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our body contains motivating energy, known as Qi, which should move in a smooth and balanced way through channels (meridians) beneath the skin. If this flow of Qi is disturbed, due to a variety of factors, the health of our body could ultimately be affected. By correcting or maintaining this flow of Qi through the insertion of fine needles, we are to restore the body's natural health state.

The application of acupuncture is wide ranging. As stated by the World Health Organization, acupuncture has been shown in clinical trials to be an effective treatment for over 28 conditions, with another 60+ conditions showing a positive therapeutic effect.
